The Period Company

The Period Company passionately sells period underwear and promotes them as alternatives to wearing traditional period products. The concept with this campaign was to demonstrate the uncomfortable positions a woman can catch herself sitting in when wearing a tampon, but when you switch to wearing period underwear, you won’t have to sit uncomfortably ever again. This campaign adds a comedic spin on traditional period products being uncomfortable. To effectively get my point across, I decided to use a barbie and arrange her in very unordinary, uncomfortable “sitting” positions. The barbie also relates to younger girls who might be uncomfortable talking about periods… they see a barbie doll they play with and see that it’s normal to grow up and go through these things! I had a lot of fun with the photography for this campaign.
